Francesca Ciaffoni 

Francesca Ciaffoni graduated from Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy in 2015. During the academic year 2014/2015, she completed an internship with the Conny Janssen Danst company in Rotterdam. In the fall of 2015, she joined the Gauthier Dance Company in Stuttgart, where she performed outstanding choreographies by renowned artists such as Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal - Gai Behar, Marco Goecke, Mauro Bigonzetti, Johan Inger, Andonis Foniadakis, Nanine Linning, Helena Waldman, and many others.

With the Gauthier Dance Company, Francesca actively participated in both national and international tours and festivals. Her performances took her to various prestigious venues, including Jacob's Pillow in Massachusetts, Joyce Theater, and New York City Center in New York, the Thailand Cultural Center in Thailand, the Steps Dance Festival in Switzerland, Ottawa (Canada), and the Suzanne Dellal Center of Dance in Tel Aviv, as well as appearances in Moscow and St. Petersburg for the "CONTEXT" festival.

In 2019, Francesca moved to Berlin, embarking on a flourishing career as a freelance performer. The same year, she secured an artistic residency as a choreographer and performer for her collaborative project with Alessandra La Bella at the "Black C Art Gallery" in Florida, resulting in the creation of "Il Peso del Fango."

Since then, she has continued to collaborate with various artists in Germany and around the world. In 2020, Francesca commenced her work as a freelance dancer with the Staatsoper Unter Den Linden in Berlin, where she performed for "Quartett" by Italian composer Luca Francesconi.

In 2021, Francesca was involved in the new creation of "Echogedicht," a new choreography by Tiago Manquinho. Since May 2021, she has been an integral part of the Fabien Prioville Dance Company, contributing significantly to "1250 MB/s" and the latest creation "2Sides."

Notably, Francesca actively participated in the innovative VR project "NOW FICTION" in collaboration with Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, aiming to expand the reach and impact of contemporary dance through virtual platforms. Furthermore, she recently served as a choreographic assistant for Fabien Prioville's site-specific VR project, "RENDEZ-VOUS," showcased at the ZED Festival in Bologna (Italy), alongside her commitments to international tours and festivals.

Francesca is currently involved in the premiere of "B." a choreographic work by Tiago Marquinho and the Act:on Ensemble. The piece is scheduled to tour several cities in Germany in the coming months.
